For the second year in a row, the Marcy Casino will be the place to be for Derby Day. Horse racing fans will be gathering together to drink mint juleps, listen to live music, don spiffy hats, and eat authentic Derby cuisine. Attendees are encouraged to dress to impress on the big race day, which is standard for the occasion.

The Most Exciting Two Minutes In Sports.

The Kentucky Derby (The Run for the Roses) is considered the premier American horse racing event. The race is the first leg of the American Triple Crown (followed by Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes). The race was first run in 1875. Previously, Buffalo race fans gathered at houses and at bars to watch the excitement. Now there’s a place that caters to the thrills of the day, as well as the traditions that go hand-in-hand with the race. Derby Day guests can expect the following from Derby Day @ The Marcy:

  • Authentic Derby cuisine
  • Live blues with The Jony James Trio
  • Small batch bourbon bar featuring Pappy Van Winkle
  • A wide assortment of craft beer featuring bottle pours of Louisville’s Against The Grain

Proceeds from Derby Day will benefit the Olmsted Parks Conservancy.
