The foremost collector of Buffalo Bills memorabilia is making a guest appearance to the Buffalo History Museum, along with parts of his enormous collection. On Tuesday, April 26, Greg Tranter will be on hand to discuss some of his fascinating stories about how he came to be in possession of such an amassed collection.
Buffalo Bills fans will not want to miss this event, which is considered the precursor to an ongoing relationship with the Greg D. Tranter Collection.
Tranter began collecting in 1965 after he purchased a pack of chewing gum that came with a set of Buffalo Bills cards. That purchase led to his lifelong pursuit of collecting one of a kind items and store bought merchandise. Today Tranter is in possession of 6000 three dimensional items, including helmets, jerseys, posters, ticket stubs, programs, etc. The collector has spent a good chunk of his life trading, attending flea markets, traveling to collector shops, and living the dream of the dedicated 12th Man.
