It’s winter… and in just over a month’s time it’s going to be March, which means that spring will be upon us. While we wait for the weather to warm up, it’s still the perfect season to bowl. But thinking about joining a six-week bowling league can be intimidating. And bowling with friends is always fun, but are they always reliable? It’s a quandary to say the least.
Under the right circumstances, bowling can be a blast. It’s a great way to meet new people, get out of the house, let off some steam, and just about everyone can do it.
In order to make bowling as approachable as possible, there’s a bowling league that seconds as a social community – it’s called Better Off Bowling (BOB). BOB is a national social movement geared towards the 20/30-something bowlers. And it’s not just bowling that brings people together – BOB incorporates league-wide team trivia for example, bar games, or photo contests. There’s also a social gathering aspect at the bowling alley bar that participants look forward to once the games are over.
The best thing about BOB is that it’s reliable. You never have to worry that no one is going to show up. It’s also not highly competitive, so you don’t have to worry about being the best bowler around. To learn more about the details of BOB, click here. Currently there is only one league operating in Buffalo, which takes place at Manor Lanes. You can visit this page to learn more about this Buffalo league, while staying tuned as other leagues are (hopefully) started around the city.
