6th Annual running of the Tweed Ride

Each spring, Buffalo cyclists break out their tweed clothes and hit the streets to celebrate the arrival of the warmer months ahead. Some riders don tweed from head to toe, while others simply wear one tweed article of clothing. The point is, that tweed is ‘in’ (it’s never ‘out’), and this is the perfect time of year to flaunt your woolens.

Been outside lately? Spring is in the air. Put some of that fresh air in your tires and lube your drivetrains. You know what I’m saying: It’s The Buffalo Lazy Randonneur Club Tweed Run.

On Sunday, March 20, cyclists will be convening at Canalside at noon, before heading off for Hoyt Lake and then Macky’s Essex St. Pub. Along the way, awards will be handed out, stories will be told, a swig or two will be had, and a faction of Buffalo’s stalwart bike riding community will be in its glory once again.

Stinky cheeses for our Wittiest, Prettiest and the One we Love Most.

Anyone and everyone is invited to join in on the fun. The ride is well known for being very open and encouraging to anyone who can ride a bike and sport some tweed at the same time. It’s really that simple.

The Buffalo Lazy Randonneur Club – Riding enthusiasts who put passionate old world class back into the art of cycling.
