Are you a young adult looking to get into some local tennis action? If so, USTA Eastern has developed a social tennis league with you in mind. The league is being called “Sets in the City”, and it gets underway on Wednesday, July 12 from 6 – 8 pm at West Seneca East Senior High School in West Seneca, NY.
The social tennis league is for young adults to start or continue playing tennis in an exciting, yet relaxed atmosphere.
“Sets in the City is a great opportunity for young adults to meet new people,” Samantha Chin, USTA Eastern’s manager of youth and adult programs said. “It’s a fun environment, where people of all tennis abilities are welcome.”
Sets in the City follows the World TeamTennis format – all players should be between 21 and 40 years old.
Each team match consists of:
- One women’s doubles
- One men’s doubles
- One women’s singles,
- One men’s singles
- Two mixed doubles
The cost is $60 per player for a six-match season. The cost also includes the facility fee, tennis balls, a player gift and player party to be held at the end of the season. All matches will be played on Wednesday nights, and USTA membership is not required. To register for the league, visit setsinthecityeastern.com.
